Parameter Group Edit MQGB

This is the main screen from which parameter groups are created and amended, although only the description can be amended on this screen; the actual parameters, validation programs, and relationships are handled on other screens which are invoked from this screen via special actions.

The actions invoking these other screens are:

Validation Programs	MQGE

These actions are only available on the function keys; the screens they access are not directly accessible. Relationships between the parameters and the validation programs are handled by the screen Parameter Groups - Amend Validation Program Relationships, MQGF, which is accessible only from MQGE.

Screen Specific Actions

Action	Description
Parameters	This action takes you to the screen Parameter Group - Amend Parameters, MQGC. This screen is used to set up the definitions of the parameters to be included in the group. It is possible to associate a list or Prompt program with a parameter; this is done with the screen Parameter Group - Amend Program Relationships, MQGD, which is accessible only from MQGC. MQGD is treated as another format to MQGC.
Validation Programs	This action takes you to the screen Parameter Group - Amend Validation Programs, MQGE. This screen is used to specify which validation programs will be used by the parameter group. The association of validation programs with parameters is set up on the screen Parameter Group - Amend Validation Program Relationships, MQGF, which is accessible only from MQGE (it is treated as another format on MQGE).

It is possible to jump between both MQGC and MQGE directly, by means of the special action on the function key F17 on each screen.
