QED (Query and Exchange of Data) is a programming tool tightly integrated to e5 that allows you to easily extract information or import information to the system. It is also one of the main methods used to report on the data held within the e5 system.
The system comes shipped with many pre-written QED Mappings to provide a number of standard reports, extracts and interfaces to the system. These can be used 'as is' or tailored on site by suitably trained individuals to meet your specific business needs. To view these mappings use the LSTQMAP shortcut on any command line and enter company ‘01’ into the selection parameters.
QED help is split into three areas:
Where the "how and why" of QED development is considered and explained. |
|
Where the command syntax and language options are presented and described. |
|
Where the considerations for the underlying system are described to ensure the smooth running of QED are discussed. |
