Screen Specific Information

This screen can be used to build a list of the QED Entities which have been defined for a selected company.

Entities may only be attached to companies which have been defined to the QED system. Companies are defined in QED on the screen Company Controls - Edit, MQSB. On MQSB, QED specific control data is attached to a company. If a company has not been defined on MQSB, then it cannot be used on an entity definition.

MQEA Fields

Table

Optional; if this field is used then a complete table name must be entered. Its use builds a list of entities which nominate the selected table as their base table.

Column

Optional; this field is used in conjunction with the field Table. Entering a complete table and column name builds a list of entities which have been defined with the selected table as their base table, and with the selected column nominated on the formula definition of an attribute on the entity.

Screen Specific Actions

Action	Description
Edit Copy	This action can be used to copy an existing Entity definition, and amend it before storing it under a new name; it transfers you to the screen Entity - Copy, MQEB. The copy is created within the current company; this contrasts with the screen MQEC, which can create copies in different companies, but which does not allow you to amend the structure of an entity before the copy is created.
Edit Insert	This action inserts a new Entity definition into the list; it transfers you to the screen Entity - Insert, MQEB.
Expand Parentage/ Expand Dependencies	These actions transfer you to the screen Related Entities - List, MQEG, which displays the hierarchy of entities above and/or below the selected entity, based on relationships defined for the entities' base tables.
