Altering list columns

Single Click Sort

You can sort the columns on a list box by using the single click option on the column heading. The first click will sort in ascending sequence and the second in descending sequence. You can only sort one column at a time using this method.

List Box Fit Width

The fit width functionality is available by right clicking the column headings and selecting Fit Column Width. This can also be set as a system preference. See System Preferences (Basic Tab).

This action adjusts the column widths to the minimum size required to see the current set of data.

Show / Hide / Reorder Columns

The columns on list screens can be shown / hidden or reordered as required.

NOTE This option will only be available once the grid has been populated. It will also not be available if a column in the grid has previously been locked via the Lock Column option. It is possible to make changes via the Show/Hide/Reorder option and then lock columns if required.

  1. Right click the Column Heading, and click Show/Hide/Reorder Columns to open a window displaying all visible and hidden columns for the grid selected.
  2. Click the left/right single arrow button to move the selected columns between the Visible and Hidden Column sections.
  3. Select a column and click the Up / Down arrow buttons as appropriate to reorder the list.

NOTE Only the mandatory columns cannot be moved from the Visible Columns section.

  1. Click OK or Cancel as required.

To clear any settings applied via the Show/hide/Reorder Columns option, right click and select  Reset Columns.

TIP It is also possible to hide columns without accessing the Show/hide/reorder columns dialog. Click the column to be hidden and press CTRL+H. To reverse this action click Reset Columns from the Show/hide/Reorder Columns dialog.
