QED Parameter Values Edit MQRA

This screen is used to set up parameter details for requesting a Mapping to be run using process QED. This process will execute the requested Mapping with the given parameter values.

NOTE Before a Mapping can be requested it must have been successfully compiled; otherwise the request will not be allowed.

Every parameter screen has the standard request key at the top, showing the fields: User, Schedule, Process, Request. The parameter fields which are needed for the process follow the standard fields.

The screen is presented with one of two options (intents), Insert or Amend. The system knows whether a record exists for the current request. If there is a record the system will open the screen with the Amend intent. If a record is being created then the system will open the screen with the Insert intent.

Submission

In order to submit the request press Submit. This gives a confirmation window. The function key must be used a second time to confirm that you do indeed want to submit the request for processing.

Field	Description
Company	Company Code for the Mapping to be requested, with the description displayed alongside.
Mapping	The ID of the Mapping to be requested. The associated is displayed alongside.
Distribution	The Distribution Profile for any reports the Mapping will produce. Each Mapping parameter description is listed in the lower part of the screen, to act as a prompt for a value to be entered. (If the Mapping has more than five parameters, use the Forward action to scroll the list.)
Value	Each Mapping parameter value is enterable. Any parameters with default literal values have them as an initial value.
Parameter	The ID of the parameter whose value was entered on Format 1.
Description	The description of the parameter whose value was entered on Format 1.
Class	The data class of the parameter whose value was entered on Format 1. Note Any Mapping Parameter Group field can have a prompt program defined.

Display: Active Requests	This menu option allows you to view the active requests or active processes for users. Most users will only be able to view those requests or processes which carry their identifier. Some users will have the facility of Master Requester and can use the selection window to get a list for any, or all, users. The action takes you to Active Requests/Processes MAQC. Active means that the unit of work is being currently processes by the background architecture.
Queue: Submit	This menu option retrieves a submission window.
