The Contact organisation function allows definition and maintenance of those external organisations that are relevant in a Proposed Project context, from either a “partner” or “funder” perspective. Those organisations may also exist in the Accounts Receivable database as customer records and controls are available to check the customer database via a post-code check.
A unique identifier of between 1 and 8 characters representing the contact organisation code.
Up to 40 characters are available to record the contact organisation name.
The customer ledger code when the contact organisation exists as a customer in the Accounts Receivable database. This must be entered when the customer flag is set.
The customer account code when the contact organisation exists as a customer in the Accounts Receivable database. This must be entered when the customer flag is set.
Indicates that the contact organisation is a partner in a Proposed Project context.
Indicates that the contact organisation is a funding organisation in a Proposed Project context.
Indicates that the contact organisation is a customer organisation in the Accounts Receivable customer database.
As of v5.5 Address Lines 1 and 2 will now become optional against contact organisations (thus no address details are required for a contact).
The post code of the contact organisation. Module controls dictate whether or not a check is made against the AR customer database and whether a warning is output, or AR address zero details are to automatically apply.
The eMail address of the contact organisation in a Proposed Project context.
A telephone number for the contact organisation.
An alternative contact number for the organisation.
A fax number for the organisation.
These fields control defaulting and validation of the funding source/schemes of a partner/funder contact on a project.
This optional funding source may be specified against a contact organisation code and if entered then any partner/funder contact will have this funding source defaulted to the project (if not entered on the line).
This controls whether a funding source is ‘mandatory, optional or not required’ when the contact code is used as a partner/funder on the project. Note the new default funding source cannot be entered when this indicator is set to ‘not required’.

This tabbed panel allows the recording of individual contacts at a contact organisation. When creating a proposed project, contacts relevant to that project can be “fetched” from the contact organisation record.
As of e5 5.4 all fields are optional and a new contact organisation can be created without the need to create at least one personal contact at the organisation.
This field is available to record an individual’s contact title, such as Mr, Mrs, Dr etc.
This field is available to record an individual’s first name.
This field is available to record an individual’s surname.
This field is available to record an individual’s business telephone number.
This field is available to record an individual’s eMail address.
This field is available to record an individual’s mobile telephone number.
This field is available to record an individual’s business fax number.
This field is available to record an individual’s home telephone number.
