Customer Edit MBCB

Use this screen to create and maintain customer account numbers, customer names and short names. The system uses this information for identification and enquiry purposes. Each time you insert a new customer, you must enter every field on this screen and also enter the customer address details on the Customer Address screen MBCC.

Description

Ledger

Enter a Ledger code not currently used for receiving interest invoices, if Enter Ledger as part of key on the Group Controls format of the Group Controls screen MBAA is checked.

Otherwise, the ledger defaults from the default ledger specified on the Company Controls screen MBAC. The associated description appears beside the ledger code after you right click or click the Update button.

Account

Enter a customer account number, up to 12 alphanumeric characters.

  • If you are using manual numbering, enter a customer number in Account.
  • If you are using automatic numbering with prefixing, enter a valid prefix code in Account.
  • If you are using automatic numbering without prefixing, leave Account blank.

NOTE This is required If Automatic Account Numbering on the Primary Details format of the Company Controls screen MBAC is blank.

Name

Enter the Name of the customer account, up to 40 characters.

Short Name

Enter a Short Name, up to 15 characters.

TIP You can use this name to retrieve the details of a customer if you do not know the customer's ledger and account numbers.

Click Tax to enter tax assessment points and specify a default assessment point for transactions on the Customer Tax Registration screen MBCJ.

Bank

Click to enter the customer bank account details for collection and payment processing on the Customer Bank Account screen MBC2.

Ex Ref

Click to create and maintain external references for customers.

Approve

Approve the customer.

Reject

Reject the customer.

Click Go | Element to display the Customer Element screen MBCE for entering the BTZ element when using ICA.

GO TAX

Click Go | Tax to display the Customer Tax Registration Locations screen MBCJ for assigning customer tax rates.

GO BANK

Click Go | Bank to display the Customer Bank Account screen MBC2 for entering or amending customer bank details for schedule processing.

GO TURNOVER

Click Go | Turnover to display the Customer Turnover screen MBCI for entering or reviewing customer sales turnover.

GO ADDRESS

Click Go | Invoice Address to display the Invoice Address screen MBBT for editing the customer invoice address or header code.

GO CLASSIFICATIONS

Click Go | Classifications to display or amend the classifications for the customer (MBC8).

GO CARDS

Click Go | Cards to display a list of all Card Numbers that bill to this Customer MCCG.

CREDIT RATING VIEW HISTORY

Click Credit Rating | View History to display the Credit Rating Maintenance screen MBC3 for reviewing the credit history of the selected customer. Applicable only if using Credit Manager.

CREDIT RATING AMEND LATEST

Click Credit Rating | Amend Latest to display the Credit Rating Maintenance screen MBC3 for reviewing or entering new credit rating details for the selected customer. Applicable only if using Credit Manager.

CREDIT RATING AMEND HISTORY

Click Credit Rating | Amend History to display the Credit Rating Maintenance screen MBC3 for reviewing the credit history of the selected customer. Applicable only if using Credit Manager.
