Event Edit MXED
This screen provides edit facilities for Object Events from the Event
Manager.
An Object Event must be identified
in order for Actions to be triggered when the given Event occurs.
Opens from Event List MXEC.
You must enter the following to create an event:
- The object to which the event will occur.
- The Event itself.
- The description of the Event.
- The Keys allowed field indicates the role of Keys in the setting
up of an Event in the Action List MXEG. The Keys can be used to trigger
Events for specific Objects within the Action List. Valid Key indicator
values are:
- 0 - Object Key Values are optional
when setting an Action.
- 1 - Object Key Values are mandatory
when setting an Action.
- 2 - Object Key Values are not
required when setting an Action.
It is also possible to optionally define an
event as requiring escalation, reminders or as expiring:
- If escalation is in use then an Escalation structure must also
be entered. When an event reaches the number of days defined without
action, then the parent of the current user will be notified that
the even has been escalated.
- If Reminders are required, then a date must be entered to control
when reminders are to be produced. Once the reminder days has been
reached then the original user of the event will receive another reminder
event.
- If Expiration is set-on, then when the expiration days is reached
the event will be deleted from the system.
- It is also possible to optionally define an event as requiring
Web Service Export. Web Service Export flag is set only for the single
Object/Event which is to handle all the defined Web Service Export
Tables, as shipped this is WEB_SERVICE_EXPORT / WEB_SERVICE_EXPORT.
- BEM Link back options can also be
defined. These define where the event should link back to. Values
are:
- 0 - WUI
- 1 - HTML5
- 2 - Portal
- BEM Notification, email delivery and priority options are defined
here if required.
