Use the Tax Type screen to identify the tax classification, such as SLS for sales tax or EXC for excise tax.
It can be opened from:
Tax tolerance is the percentage or amount of discrepancy allowed in tax amounts.
When you manually enter a tax value for a transaction, the system automatically calculates the tax value based on either the entered tax code or the entered combination of tax type/location. If the manually entered tax differs from the system calculated amount, the system issues a warning message unless the discrepancy falls within the tolerances defined in these fields.
Tolerance Percentage and Tolerance Amount are not mutually exclusive. You can define a tolerance percentage, a Tolerance Amount or both.
