Use the Tax Location screen to identify the addresses where a company collects and remits tax and the addresses where a company's purchases are taxed, either the delivery point or the shipper's location, depending upon the state policy (for US users).

If you want Check digit validation to occur on Tax Registration numbers for this Location then you can define the validation rules to be used at this level. If there is no entry in the field then no validation will occur.
VAT return: Identifies if the tax location represents a ‘UK’, or ‘Non-UK’ Tax location. The HMRC extract process will only retrieve transactions that have tax codes associated with a ‘UK’ Tax locations.
