Fixed Assets Online Forecast / Model Parameters MFJA

You can run forecasts on assets to model the predicted depreciation on then given certain assumptions. This screen allows you to provide parameter details for the forecasting process.

This screen allows you to enter a single forecast based on a single valuation or to use modelling to build a number of valuation changes before running the forecast. Modelling will allow you start with an Initial Valuation, add in other movements at specified times, such as an Initial Correction, partial disposal, re-life etc; and then to calculate the effect such movements have on the depreciation.

Forecast Parameters

To run a new forecast, you must provide the following details:

Asset Number
Forecast Book
Forecast Start - the date to start forecasting
Display Limit - the number of periods for which depreciation will be forecast
Summarisation (defaults to Periodic), to specify what depreciation interval will be used on the forecast

Model Parameters

To run a new model, you must provide the following details:

Model Start - the date to start forecasting
Display Limit - the number of periods for which depreciation will be forecast
Summarisation (defaults to Periodic), to specify what depreciation interval will be used on the forecast

The display lists a single Initial Valuation which you must edit before proceeding. You can add other adjustments such as re-life, transfer etc. to the model. You must then click Model | Detail to edit the valuations in the model list to provide full details for each valuation before running the model.

When you are happy with the parameters provided, click Forecast | Display or Model | Display to see the resulting forecast calculations.

Screen Specific Actions

Action	Use
FORECAST DISPLAY	Click Forecast \| Display to you view the forecast calculations based on the entered parameters through screen MFJC
FORECAST DETAIL	Click Forecast \| Detail to view the detail for the initial valuation generated by the forecast parameters.
MODEL DISPLAY	Click Model \| Display to you view the forecast calculations based on the entered parameters through screen MFJC
MODEL DETAIL	Click Model \| Detail to enter the detail for the selected valuation, transfer or disposal listed in the model.
VALUATION VIEW	Click Valuation \| View to display details of the initial valuation for the asset being forecast.
