This screen is used to define the check digit validation method to be associated with a validation code.
Opens from Check Digit Validation List MATJ.
Field |
Description |
Length of number |
The length of the number to be checked, including the check digit length. |
Length of check digit |
This can be either 1 or 2 characters. |
Modulus |
Select the modulus to be applied. |
Operand |
This can be one of Add, Multiply, Divide or Subtract, or it may be a modulus specific operand. |
Modulus 9755 Allowed |
When set this indicates if standard Modulus 97 validation fails, the check digit number will be revalidated using the Modulus 9755 rules. This can only be set if Modulus is set to 97. |
Weightings |
These are values, which may be applied to a character position. These will then have calculations performed on them depending on modulus and operand. |
