AR offers two types of transfers
You can automatically transfer transactions from one customer to another, within the same company, provided the transactions have an outstanding balance and are not disputed.
Cash transfers let you apply part of a cheque to one account and transfer the remaining amount to one or more accounts. You cannot use both types of transfers at the same time or on the same account.
You cannot transfer stacked invoice transactions. See Invoice Stacking for more information about stacked invoices.
Transaction transfers, cash transfers and transfers in cash application are subject to the following rules when IAS is active:
Item | Description |
Subtype-level IAS Processing. | If IAS processing is at the subtype level, automatic transfer processing is not available. You must manually create a journal credit transaction with the same subtype as the original invoice to reverse the posting; then create a new invoice transaction for the new account |
Transfers between Business Categories. | You can transfer only between accounts with the same business category, for example, from one passenger account to another passenger account. To effectively transfer a transaction between two different categories, such as passenger and UATP, you must create a credit note to settle the original transaction and create a new transaction for the other business category |
Zone Account Transfers. | You must transfer between one zone account and another zone account either within the same zone or between two different zones. Both accounts must share the same currency |
Outward Account Transfers. | You can transfer only between one outward account and another outward account. To effectively 'transfer a transaction between two different account types, such as outward and inward, you must create a credit note to settle the original transaction and create a new transaction for the other account type. If the business category is passenger, UATP or cargo, the currency of the new transaction for the To Account must match the zone currency of the To Account. |
Inward Account Transfers. | You can transfer only between one inward account and another inward account. To effectively transfer a transaction between two different account types, such as outward and inward, you must create a credit note to settle the original transaction and create a new transaction for the other account type. The currency of the new transaction for the To Account must match the zone currency of the To Account. |
Bilateral Account Transfers. | You can transfer only between one bilateral account and another bilateral account. To effectively transfer a transaction between two different account types, such as outward and bilateral, you must create a credit note to settle the original transaction and create a new transaction for the other account type. The transfer of transactions between bilateral accounts is not restricted by zone currency |
