Adjusting the menu and sidebar size

You can adjust the menu and sidebar using the adjustment control between the main tabs and the menu or sidebar. Drag the control until the menu or sidebar is the size you require it to be.

Note This option will not be available if the browser width is less than 1300.

Cut / Copy / Paste Data

Right click to access a cut/copy/paste menu. This feature can be used to move data between fields or between e5H5 and other applications using the system clipboard.

Copying to an External Application

  1. Click in the required start field, hold down the left mouse button and drag down to the required end field.
  2. Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox users can all use Ctrl+C to copy and then to paste use Ctrl+V into an external application such as Microsoft Excel.

Using Mouse Right Click

Internet Explorer users can use a right mouse click Edit Selection: Copy. Depending on the browser settings, a warning message requesting permission for the web page to access the Windows clipboard may be displayed.

NOTE This right click option is available only with Internet Explorer. When using any other supported browser an error message will be displayed instructing you to use Ctrl+C..

Pasting from an External Application

‘It is possible for a user to paste from multiple rows from an external application. Internet Explorer users can use a right mouse click Edit Selection: Paste. When using any other supported browser an error message will be displayed instructing you to use Ctrl+V.

Customisation and Images

The software currently only recognises images in GIF file format. Any maps, which have been customised with other image file formats, need to be re-painted with a converted image file.

It is capable of showing animated GIF files on macro buttons and as background images. Animated GIFs are handled in the same way as ordinary static images using e5H5 Personal Softpaint.

Display

When viewing a hierarchical display, a number of different viewing options are available on both the left and right hand views. Choosing the display options is achieved by right clicking on the background of either the left or right hand view as required.

Function Keys

Throughout the help there will be references to using Function Keys. For keys in the range F1 to F12, simply press the appropriate function key on the keyboard to perform the relevant instruction. Reference will also be made to keys in the range F13 to F24. These are accessed by pressing the shift key so that F1 becomes F13, F2 becomes F14 and so on. Add 12 to the number printed on the key.
